Akouri Thanks Leaders for Their Support

(FARMINGTON HILLS, MI)...Farmington Hills City Council Candidate John Akouri thanked community leaders today for their strong endorsement towards his bid to win a special election seat on the Farmington Hills City Council. Six sitting Oakland County Commissioners and six former Mayors of Farmington Hills signed letters of support to newspaper editors, adding their names to the list of many who have endorsed his candidacy.
"As our campaign winds down and election day nears, I am grateful and humbled by the kind words and support offered by our area's leading government officials and community leaders," said candidate Akouri. "I thank them for their endorsement and look forward to celebrating a victory with all of our supporters and volunteers come next Tuesday."

Dear Editors:

As Oakland County Commissioners, we wish to extend our full support and endorsement of John Akouri to fill the unexpired special two-year term on the Farmington Hills City Council. Each of us has known John for many years and has worked with him in one capacity or another on government related matters. We applaud his dedication and commitment to the city he loves so much along with the tenacity and zest in which he gives so much of his personal time to serve on various city boards and commissions. As Oakland County’s largest city, please know that you will be well served with John as your next Councilman when it comes time for matters dealing with the county. Relationships do not happen over night and with John on City Council, we know we will be dealing with an experienced voice representing your interests. We strongly urge the residents of Farmington Hills to cast their ballot on November 4 for their hometown son.

As former Mayors of the City of Farmington Hills, we know that it takes leadership, integrity, trust and a commitment to hard work in representing the interests of the community on City Council. No one is better qualified than John Akouri to serve as our next City Councilman and we fully extend our support and endorsement to him. No other candidate embodies his principles, his vision, or his loyalty. Over the years, he has forged relationships with government leaders, educators, business owners and residents. Contacts like these are not made overnight and offer him a peerless advantage that will aid him in further advancing the progress and future of our city. He is a proven leader with universal appeal and truly a man of the people. We salute his past accomplishments and together we urge all voters to embrace his message of leadership for the 21st Century by casting their ballot for John Akouri this November. John has the unique ability to forge coalitions amongst all people and will fight for our city with the promise of honest representation.
